SCHOOL-BASED FEEDING PROGRAM

To ensure effectiveness and sustainability of SBFP, complementary activities are undertaken.

  • Program implementers undertake waste segregation and management under Yes-O program.
  • Integrate other School Health Programs such as deworming, Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP), and WASH in Schools (WinS).

Since 2015, SANHSP School-Based Feeding Program has been conducted on a yearly basis. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has put nearly everything around the world on pause, including the suspension of face-to-face classes, therefore, the program’s implementation for SY 2020-2021 has been postponed.  This does not imply that students are no longer receiving high-quality foods because teachers keep on urging parents during virtual homeroom period to continue preparing low-cost yet nutritious meals for their children.
